About our Club
The Probus Club of Ocean Grove Surfside Inc. was formed by the sponsoring group of Rotary Club Ocean Grove in Victoria, Australia. We formed following two public meetings and the concerted efforts of a steering committee which later became the inaugural management committee. The official Formation Meeting was held in February 2001 and the first General Meeting was held at the Ocean Grove Surfside Centre in March 2001.
We are a retired persons club catering predominantly for retired professional and business persons. As a mixed gender club, we attempt to maintain an equal balance of gender among our members. Our primary aim is to provide social and intellectual stimulation for retired and semi-retired members of the community.
The Club provides an opportunity for members to establish & continue friendships through participation in a variety of Club activities.This includes golf, walks, music, films, trips and tours, and monthly dine-outs. Lunch outings are arranged after each meeting.
Our Club is simple in structure and free of the constraints and obligations of Service Clubs. Visitors and new members will be warmly welcomed.
Annual Fees
Annual fees of $75.00 are payable on April 30th each year. This covers the hire of the meeting room and morning tea.
Most members choose to receive their newsletters electronically. Some choose to pick up a printed copy at the meeting. However, those members who like their copy posted to them, are asked to provide stamps.
The Joining Fee is $20.00 New member's annual fees and postage fees will be calculated on a quarterly pro-rata basis and adjusted accordingly.

When and Where We Meet
The Probus Club of Ocean Grove Surfside meets at 10:30am on the third Monday of the months January to November each year at the Ocean Grove Bowling Club, 15 The Terrace, Ocean Grove VIC. These meetings provide for a monthly report on Club activities followed by morning tea and an address by a visiting speaker on many topics of interest. A luncheon is organised at various locations around the Bellarine after the meeting.
